Patrick Haddan, 6-0 SR PG, Irvine (Calif.) Woodbridge had a good summer where he caught the attention of many college coaches and definitely improved his stock.
Haddan said that, as a result of his summer performance, he's hearing from Princeton, Stanford, Auburn, Loyola Marymount and Cal Poly San Luis Obispo.
"Right now, I'm hearing from the Ivies," Haddan said. "Princeton told me I'm their #1 recruit, actually. Princeton would be very tough to turn down."
But Haddan indicated that if Stanford offered a scholarship that'd be hard to turn down also. He is currently filling out his Stanford application and said he'll have it into Stanford admissioons soon. "They told me they want a ballhander," he said. "So they're looking at me and two other kids. They told me they're pretty serious about me." Haddan said he has a 3.4 GPA and scored an 1160 on his SAT, but wants to take the test again to improve his score.
So far Haddan doesn't have any in-home visits or official visits arranged, even though he said he's in the process of getting that done. "Right now, I'm not sure about which visits I want to take," he said. "I'll see how the fall goes. I'll get my applications into Stanford and Princeton. I'd like to get it over with early, before the season."
Haddan said, if he had a preference, he'd stay on the west coast but he'd "go where the best situation is."
