White makes his pick
The Tennessee Volunteers got going in their 2016 class with a quality pledge in Romello White. The Bradenton (Fla) IMG Academy product made his decision to pick the SEC school on Monday, in a solid recruiting win for the Vols. At 6-foot-8 and 205 pounds, White brings long arms and solid athleticism to the table. He is a good run and jump guy who runs the floor well and makes plays with energy and athleticism. That size, athleticism, and motor led to significant interest from Tennessee, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. However in the end it was the Volunteers that won out and landed his commitment. I committed because of their great facilities and the great coaching staff,” said White of his decision to pick the Vols. Also the style that Donnie Tyndall runs was a major selling point. “I really like their up-tempo style of play,” said White. “I think it is the right system for me and that I fit in well.” Currently White is viewed as a four-star recruit.
