Wynyard to visit Kentucky, Villanova & Texas
New Zealand native Tai Wynyard is planning a tour of three colleges this week.
Wynyard, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound center, told Scout that he would visit Kentucky starting on Sunday through Tuesday evening. Following the trip to Lexington, Ky., Wynyard will visit two other high major schools.
“I'm going straight to Villanova,” Wynyard said. “Then I'm there for another two days then straight to Texas.”
Wynyard said Villanova has offered him a scholarship. St. Mary’s, Pittsburgh and Hawaii have also been to New Zealand to see him play.
Last year Wynyard participated in the International Jordan Brand All-American game.
Wynyard is a 2016 prospect out of Rangitoto College in Auckland, New Zealand.
