Bridges talks process

Miles Brides continues to have a good season while adding recruiting interest.

Class of 2016 four-star forward Miles Bridges keeps on doing what he can to improve on his game. The native of Flint, Michigan who now attends Huntington (WV) Prep, is having a tremendous junior season, and college coaches keep showing him significant attention.

Schools such as Michigan, Michigan State, Indiana, Iowa State, Louisville, Missouri, Oregon, Kansas, Kentucky, Connecticut, and others have been involved with Bridges for a while, and he continues to get major interest from them.

“I’m not really thinking about it right now, but after the season I really plan to think hard about my recruitment,” said Bridges about how he is handling his recruitment at the moment.

One school that has been involved with Bridges for a while is Iowa State, and his connection to the program runs deep.

“Me and Monte Morris, we have a really good relationship and he talks about Iowa State non-stop,” explained Bridges. “That is one of the reasons why I like them.”

Another place he has a connection to is Michigan State. Bridges and fellow Flint native Mateen Cleaves talk a lot, and he likes the program quite a bit.

“Mateen and I are always in the gym and talking,” said Bridges. “He always tells me he will support me wherever I go, but we are always in the gym together and I talk to the coaches a lot.”

A newer school to turn up the heat is Louisville, and while no visit date has been finalized yet, Bridges does plan to make a visit to the ACC school in the very near future.

“I am planning to go visit Louisville in a couple of weeks,” said Bridges of the Cardinals. “I like their intensity with how they play, and that Coach (Rick) Pitino is a legendary coach.”

Currently Bridges is viewed as the No. 34 player overall in the class of 2016.
