Wynyard sees Kentucky
Tai Wynyard, of Rangitoto College in Auckland, New Zealand, is in the midst of a three-team visit spree. Wynyard, a 6-foot-9, 230-pound center, started his trip off with Kentucky and spent time with their coaching staff from Sunday afternoon until late Tuesday evening.
“It was an awesome experience,” Wynyard told Scout. “[I] met a lot of great people and stuff, so yeah I had a fun time.”
“Just got to see the whole school and eat food,” the junior added about his visit to Kentucky. “I saw the game and stuff. That was pretty cool.”
Wynyard said the Kentucky coaching staff educated him about their program.
“[They] told me about everything to do with their school really,” he said. “They said they wanted me so and I think that's an offer, but yeah I just kept saying I had to see the other schools first.”
Wynyard is currently on Villanova’s campus for his unofficial visit there. On Friday, Wynyard will make his way to Texas to close out his visit tour.
