Hicks Hits The Road Again

Eric Hicks is set take his first official visit this weekend. The athlete from Greensboro, N.C., leaves Friday to visit with an SEC coach who is quite familiar with the Tar Heel State and prospects from it.

Tennessee, UConn Get First Whack At Hicks

Greensboro (NC) Dudley standout ATH Eric Hicks blew up in July and now he's reaping the benefits of a fantastic summer. The dunk machine is set to take his first official visit this weekend.

Buzz Peterson's Tennessee Volunteers host him the weekend of Sept. 1. Hicks is ready to go and says the Volunteers have already offered him a scholarship. The following weekend, Hicks takes his show on the road north to see Jim Calhoun and UConn. Florida State, Virginia Tech and LSU are also being considered and we know East Carolina is going to try and make a run at his as well.

However, our sources indicate that whoever signs Hicks this fall should be worrying about Bob Huggins and the Cincinnati Bearcats. Hicks won't make any sort of a collegiate decision until he visits the Bearcats officially. Recently, he went to see Cincinnati on his own and he fully intends on having the Bearcats host him on their buck. The Cincinnati date has not been set yet, but the Bearcats will be in his home the first day coaches can make in-home visits, Sept. 9.
