Eubanks cuts list to five

Four-star shooting guard Kobie Eubanks cut his list of schools to five. Who made the cut? Scout has the latest.

Kobie Eubanks, one of the nation’s top remaining senior prospects, narrowed his list of schools to five on Thursday.

According to Delray Beach (Fla.) Elev-8 Prep Academy coach Chad Myers, Eubanks is down to Georgia, Missouri, Oregon, Texas and UCLA.

Now that Eubank’s has narrowed his list, the next step is to set up a few more visits. He’s currently trying to set up visits to Georgia and UCLA.

“I think he’s going to taken two more visits in the next three weeks,” he said. “Then he’ll probably make a decision at the end of February or beginning of March if it feels right.”

Eubanks, who is regarded as Scout’s No. 53 player, took an official visit to Oregon from January 22nd to the 24th.

“It was good,” Myers said. “He loved it. He liked everything about. He would have a chance to play early there. He liked the facilities. They made a strong impression on him.”

Oregon coach Dana Altman is expected to watch Eubanks play a game in Virginia this evening. The other four schools have had assistants watch him in the past 10 days. Texas is expected back in to see him next week.
