Narain talks visits

Nolan Narain is making visits and raising his level of play

Four-star class of 2016 power forward Nolan Narain is in the middle of a busy time period. The La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere standout is not only going through his season, but he is also making some recruiting visits.

La Lumiere has been on a bit of a roll lately, and for Narain he says his junior year continues to go well.

“The year has been fun,” said Narain. “We are winning again and playing better. This is a great opportunity for me to play power forward with Isaac at center. I have played limited minutes recently because I have a slight knee injury, but overall I think I am playing well.”

Schools such as Gonzaga, San Diego State, UNLV, Illinois, New Mexico, Notre Dame, Missouri, Miami, Vanderbilt, and others have all been heavily involved in Narain’s recruitment.

Recently Narain made a visit to Gonzaga, and he came away very impressed with what he saw.

“It was an awesome experience,” said Narain. “All of the guys there are super nice and super welcoming. It is a style of play that fits me well, and the school is winning. They are in the top five, so it doesn’t get any better than that.”

Also one other visit is in the works, and again it will be to a school on the West Coast.

“I am going to San Diego State on March 6,” explained Narain. “They play really good defense there, and they have a good business program. Basketball wise I want to see how they use their fours and how they get it inside. I also like the city of San Diego, so that is good.”

Nothing is set in stone in terms of a time for a decision, but Narain is determined to find the right fit for him on and off the court.
