Process continues for Jackson
Three-star forward Willie Jackson from Garfield Heights (Ohio) continues to be one of the more productive players in the 2016 class in the Buckeye State. At around 6-foot-5 with high level athleticism and long arms, Jackson has significant interest on the recruiting trail. Overall the season has gone well for Jackson who is continuing to improve as a player developing his wing skills while also going to work inside using his length and athleticism. “The season has been going well,” said Jackson. “We lost a few games we weren’t supposed to lose, but we have been playing well.” He continued, “I’ve been working on everything. I work out twice a day on ball handling and shooting. It is just all about getting better.” Recruiting wise there continues to be significant interest in Jackson from all levels of college basketball. “I’ve been hearing from Oregon, Michigan State, Bowling Green, Akron, Wisconsin, Penn State, Xavier, and Dayton,” said Jackson. So far this season Jackson hasn’t visited any schools, but he does have a good idea of what is most important to him when it comes to selecting a college. Look for Jackson to get more serious about his recruitment following his junior season as Garfield Heights has big goals in the playoffs, and Jackson wants to focus on his team.
