Tutu makes his choice
La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere has sent another player to division I basketball. Point guard Munis Tutu picked Loyola Marymount while on an official visit, and this is a solid get for the West Coast Conference program. "Munis just committed to LMU," said La Lumiere head coach Shane Heirman. "On the visit he felt comfortable with the players and the staff, and they did a great job of recruiting him," stated Heirman. "Also academically Loyola Marymount is an excellent school and Munis is a very good student that really appealed to him as well." By adding Tutu, the Lions get a jet quick point guard who also can score. Tutu can turn the ball over a little bit too much, but he is tough on defense, gets into the lane and makes plays, and has shown a knack for being able to make the key bucket at a big time during the game. There is no doubt that Tutu should be able to come in right away and compete for immediate minutes when he arrives on campus.
