Carter makes his pick

Three star center/power forward Myles Carter made his college decision on Monday.

It was an excellent season overall at Chicago (Ill.) St. Rita, and a big reason for that was the play on the inside of Myles Carter. The 6-foot-8 power forward with long arms and decent athleticism, had a solid senior season and now he is committed to the Big East.

"Congratulations to senior forward Myles Carter on committing to play Division I basketball at Seton Hall Univeristy next year," announced St. Rita Head Coach Gary DeCeasre.

Carter is nearly 230 pounds and had interest form colleges such as DePaul, Cleveland State, and Memphis to go along with his obvious offer from Seton Hall.

The biggest strength for Carter is his ability to rebound the basketball. He has long arms and a good sense for where the ball is coming off the rim, and that allows him to grab boards both in and out of his area.

He will need to continue to get stronger and add to his offensive game, but this is a solid pledge who should add depth to the Seton Hall front line.

Carter is the third commitment for Seton Hall joining Amaveer Singh and Dalton Soffer.
