Busy few days for Walker
When C.J. Walker announced his de-commitment from Purdue he figured numerous schools would have interest in him. However the last 48 hours have been quite busy for Walker and his father as their phones have been buzzing. “It has been real busy,” said Walker’s father Clarence. “A lot of schools have been calling me and C.J.” According to the elder Walker, the list of schools already in contact is pretty extensive. Butler, Florida State, Illinois, Notre Dame, Xavier, La Salle, Iowa, Creighton, and Virginia so far are the schools that have been in touch. Butler, who offered Walker a scholarship before his commitment to Purdue, has made it clear that their offer still stands, and that he is a top priority in the 2016 class for the Bulldogs. Also Xavier informed Walker that he has an offer now from them, they previously didn’t offer him a scholarship. As of now the break between Walker and Purdue seems permanent as both sides seem to be looking in different directions. The plan for Walker is to play things out during the spring running with Spiece Indy Heat, and to go from there. Expect Walker to make several visits before issuing a new commitment.
