Anderson is seeing stock soar

Wing Josh Anderson is someone to really watch this spring as his stock is beginning to soar.

The state of Louisiana has always been known for producing a lot of high level football talent, but in the 2017 class it looks like there is a lot of talent on the hardwood as well. Arguably the best of the bunch is Josh Anderson.

Baton Rouge (La.) Madison Prep is one of the best schools in the country for young talent, and Anderson is leading the way. Now running with Louisiana Elite on the Under Armour circuit, the 6-foot-4, Anderson is making an impression with his play.

“I am just trying to improve on everything that I can and be more consistent,” said Anderson.

He continued, “My strength is being able to attack the rim and finish inside against bigs. Also I can score from the perimeter.”

On the recruiting trail several schools already have significant interest in Anderson, and more are sure to join in the pursuit.

“I have been talking to Richmond, St. John’s, LSU, Tulane, and Baylor,” said Anderson. “There have been a few other schools.”

LSU is located very close to home, and Tigers Head Coach Johnny Jones tracked Anderson and his teammates all weekend.

About the Tigers, Anderson said, “It is good to hear from LSU. They are a good program and it is close to home, but I don’t want to eliminate anyone just because I am hearing from LSU.”

At the moment there isn’t a big hurry for Anderson to make a decision, but he does know what he will be looking for when the time comes to make a choice.

“I want to make a run at the NBA, so I am looking for a school that will prepare me and make me work hard to get the best out of my ability,” noted Anderson.
