UK offer coming for Bridges?
John Calpari and his staff are just now beginning to get going on the 2016 recruiting class. With that they are making evaluations and deciding who are going to be their targets. Now it seems that four-star forward Miles Bridges is going to be one of them. The 6-foot-6 and 210 pound Bridges is one of the best athletes in the entire class. A native of Flint, Michigan who is now at Huntington (WV) Prep, Bridges is starring for The Family on the Nike EYBL circuit. “I think I have been playing good,” said Bridges about the start to his spring. “We have good guards who get me the ball in places where I can score, and it has been fun.” He continued, “I have really been working on my ball handling. I am trying to be able to play not only forward, but guard in college, so I know I have to improve on my handle and my IQ as well.” Recruiting wise, several schools came out to see Bridges in Hampton, and have been checking in with him in his recruitment. “Michigan State, Michigan, Iowa State, Pittsburgh, Kentucky, Louisville, Indiana, and Iowa were all watching me,” listed Bridges. While the vast majority of those schools have offered, one that hasn’t is Kentucky. Bridges however thinks an offer could be coming from the Wildcats. “They haven’t offered me yet, but I think they will soon,” explained Bridges. “I like them a lot, and clearly Coach Calipari does a great job with the program.” If UK does offer, Bridges says they, along with every other school, will have plenty of time to make an impression as he plans on being deliberate with his decision making process. “I am going to be patient,” said Bridges. “I think I will make my visits in September and just be patient.” Currently Bridges is viewed as the No. 28 player overall and the No. 7 small forward.
