Kirk makes late pick
Not making the decision to re-classify proved to be a productive decision for athletic wing Shaun Kirk. Kirk played this weekend with Team Loaded in the adidas Gauntlet and his impressive showing led to a big offer. NC State assistant coach Rob Moxley as well as head coach Mark Gottfried had the chance to see Kirk over the weekend, and upon returning from Indianapolis the Wolfpack made the decision to offer. From there it didn't take long to decide. According to Team Loaded, Kirk committed to the Wolfpack on Monday evening. This is an important commitment for NC State because they were short a body on the wing following the decision of Trevor Lacey to enter his name in the NBA Draft. At around 6-foot-6, Kirk is as good an athlete as there is on the wing in the entire country. He exploded for some highlight quality dunks all weekend long, and then also mixed in a solid looking jumper as well. This is the first commitment for NC State in the class of 2015.
