Brissett rising in 2017
One of the more impressive prospects in attendance at the Lexington (Ky.) EYBL session was 6-foot-8, 190-pound small forward Oshae Brissett. The 2017 prospect from Henderson (Nev.) Findlay Prep is a high level athlete with a nonstop motor who had a lot of success rebounding and getting to the basket, while on defense he showed the ability to guard several positions. "I feel like I’ve played well," Brissett said. "My coach and teammates are pretty satisfied with me. I’ve rebounded well, I’ve contributed to my team and we’re winning games. "Attacking the basket is one of my strengths and so is defense. I feel like I can guard multiple positions on the court. I excel at getting deflections and blocks and stuff like that." Brissett listed Oregon, UNLV, Texas Tech, New Mexico State, IUPUI and UCLA as schools he's hearing from, but isn't thinking about his recruitment too much at this point. "I’m not focusing on that right now," he said. "I’m not even worried about it." Even though Brissett isn't in a rush to commit, he has an idea of what will be most important to him in a school. "I’ll probably make a decision sometime next year," Brissett said. "I just want a school that will benefit me and help me get to the next level."
