2016 Intro: Robinson Idehen

Robinson Idehen is a quickly emerging 2016 center prospect from the Oakland Soldiers and already has a couple offers.

One of the biggest emergences from the West Coast this spring has come from Robinson Idehen, a 6-foot-9, 205-pound center from Modesto (Calif.) Christian.

Idehen, who was born in Spain, moved from England to the states in August.

"I came here for the education and coaching," Idehen said.

A long and athletic center, Idehen plays with a very high motor and is one of the region's top shot blockers. He can probably guard both post positions at the next level and while he's raw offensively, he finishes well and can step out and hit an open elbow jumper.

There was an adjustment period for Idehen getting used to American basketball, but he feels the improvement and is happy with where his game is at.

"It was hard at first but I’m getting better," Idehen said. "I play with energy. I take pride in blocking shots. I want to improve at shooting and want to move faster."

Idehen already holds two offers so far, from Houston and Pacific.

"They’re good coaches at both schools," Idehen said.

For now, Idehen isn't too concerned with his recruitment.

"I’m just worried about my game right now," he said.
