2016 Intro: Jalen McDaniels
A 2016 prospect who has somewhat flown under the radar to date but has a lot of upside is 6-foot-9, 185-pound Federal Way (Wash.) post Jalen McDaniels. The long and athletic prospect can potentially play and defend the four and five and while he's raw offensively, has the chance to be a very good player once he puts on strength and continues to add to his skill set. "I get to the rim, I can shoot it, I play defense, I can play the three and four and can guard the one through five," McDaniels said. "I’m still working on my handle and shooting. You can always improve your handle and shot." There are two schools which have already offered McDaniels, with several others showing interest. "I have two offers – Boise State and Montana State," McDaniels said. "I have interest from Washington State, Oregon State, Portland State and Portland." When it comes time to make a decision, McDaniels knows what he'll be looking for. "I want to go somewhere that fits me, where I can go in and play, that has a good player development program and where it’s a good school academically," he said.
