Aztecs land Narain

The San Diego State Aztecs landed a key commitment on Monday night.

On Monday night the San Diego State Aztecs got some tremendous news with the decision of Nolan Narain to pick the program. Narain, who had an excellent season at La Porte (Ind.) La Lumiere, is an athletic and talented power forward.

At 6-foot-9 with long arms and a high motor, Narain opened up eyes with his play during the high school season, and has been even better this spring with UPlay Canada on the adidas Gauntlet.

Narain had offers from schools such as Gonzaga, Vanderbilt, Illinois, Miami, Kansas State, and a host of others, but in the end it was San Diego State that won out.

"Proud to announce that I have committed to San Diego state university," said Narain.

According to Narain it was the coaching staff and the relationship that he had with them that led to the decision.

"I had a great amount of comfort with the entire coaching staff," said Narain. "Also I feel their style of play fits me perfectly."

Currently Narain is considered the No. 36 prospect overall in the 2016 class, but there is a very good chance that Narain could enroll as a member of the 2015 class.

In April Narain described it as a 60/40 chance he becomes a member of the class of 2015.
