Another Abdur-Rahim Emerges

Marietta (GA) Wheeler swingman Muhamad Abdur-Rahim has basketball in his blood. One of his brothers plays hoops for Southeastern Louisiana and his other brother is one of the best young forwards in the NBA.

Great Basketball Genes

Muhamad Abdur-Rahim. The name sounds familiar, right? It should, at least the last name should. Muhamad is a 6-4 small forward whose brother Amir plays at Southeastern Louisiana while his oldest sibling Shareef is a forward in the NBA.

During the spring and summer, Muhamad helped Team Reef achieve success at the Atlanta Basketball Classic and Big Time. Last year at Marietta Wheeler, Abdur-Rahim averaged 12 points a game, a number he'll improve upon this season.

So far, he's received the most interest from Southeastern Louisiana, Georgia State and Central Florida. He says the schools call but he's yet to set up any visits and isn't sure who has made him an offer.

"Southeastern leads because I have one of my teammates there last year and my brother," Abdur-Rahim said. His brother Amir will be a sophomore this season.
