Izundu picks his pick

The Miami Hurricanes got a solid piece to the puzzle late as Ebuka Izundu has selected the school.

It was a late recruiting battle for Ebuka Izundu who had initially picked Charlotte before Head Coach Alan Major moved along. The athletic and long 6-foot-9 center then had his pick of schools, and in the end he chose the Miami Hurricanes.

Miami had to stave off a very strong charge from schools such as Arkansas, Tennessee, and Cincinnati land Izundu's commitment, but they did just that. A source confirms that Izundu picked the Hurricanes on Wednesday giving them a solid piece to their 2015 recruiting puzzle.

Right now Izundu has a ton of upside, and is still learning to play, however he can rebound, really run the floor, and block shots. Also he is showing some ability on the offensive end as well.

This is the second commitment for the Hurricanes in the class. He joins fellow three-star prospect Anthony Lawrence. Along with transfer power forward Kamari Murphy, the Hurricanes will add three new players to the team that finished as the runner up in the NIT this season.

Izundu should battle for immediate playing time, and give the Hurricanes solid depth in the frontcourt.
