Aaron to transfer to USC

Shaqquan Aaron, who played last season at Louisville, has found his new home. Aaron will transfer to USC.

Shaqquan Aaron is headed to USC, he informed Scout on Tuesday.

"First I want to thank Rick Pitino," Aaron said. "I learned a lot from him and being a Hall of Fame coach and I want to thank him for the opportunity he gave me and the fans at Louisvlle, but I decided to go to USC and continue my college career there and bring USC back on the winning track."

Aaron, who was ranked No. 27 overall coming out of high school, picked USC over San Diego State and Washington. He took visits to all three schools before settling on his pick.

“I’m very excited and really ready to get back on track,” Aaron told Scout.

Why did Aaron go with USC?

“Coach Enfield and just playing for him and knowing some of the players on the team and just it’s a great situation for me,” Aaron said. “It’s the best situation for me.”

USC assistant Jason Hart was the point man on the Aaron recruitment. Hart coached Aaron when he was in the eighth grade.

Although Aaron finished his high school career in Seattle at Rainier Beach, he’s spent a great deal of his life in the Los Angeles area.

Aaron averaged 1.3 points and 0.7 rebounds a game. Aaron missed Louisville’s first 10 games last season due to NCAA issues.
