Killeya-Jones reopens recruitment

Sacha Killeya-Jones is no longer committed to Virginia. The top-100 big man spoke to Tony Bennett and informed the Cavaliers that he’d like to reopen his recruitment.

Sacha Killeya-Jones has been on a precipitous rise over the past 12 months, so it’s understandable if his world moved a little more quickly than he may have expected. That said, the skilled and polished frontcourt scorer decided to open things up heading toward the July live period.

”I decided to step back and reopen my recruitment,” Killeya-Jones told Scout. “I feel like I may have rushed my decision. I still love Virginia but just want to reaffirm that’s the right choice for me and plan to take some other visits.”

Now that he’s back on the market, Killeya-Jones undoubtedly will receive immediate — and extensive — interest from high-major programs.

Killeya-Jones was one member of what already was considered a big and complete class for UVa, and the Cavaliers still hold a commitment from another top-100 big man, Jay Huff.
