Numerous offers for Sneed

Xavier Sneed is an athletic wing that many high-major schools are making a priority recruit.

St. Louis Eagles wing Xavier Sneed has had a solid spring for one of the best teams in the EYBL. The super athletic small forward has shown significantly versatility on the defensive end and is also improving as an offensive player as well.

“I have been working on my shooting and my ball handling mostly,” said Sneed about what he is working on. “I am just trying to get more consistent in both areas.”

Recruiting wise Sneed still has a long list of schools showing him significant interest.

“I have offers from Kansas State, Purdue, Missouri, St. Louis, Minnesota, Xavier, Cincinnati, Wichita State, Creighton, and Illinois,” said Sneed.

Missouri is a school that is close to home and has been recruiting Sneed for a while.

About the Tigers, Sneed said, “That is a hometown team. I always watched them growing up, and they are looking to re-build and feel like I would be a big part of it.”

When it comes to Kansas State, Sneed said, “They really like me and that I fit in the program. They like the way I play, and that I play with a high motor.”

Another school that has been consistently recruiting him is Minnesota. The Golden Gophers feel that Sneed would be able to help them within their style of play.

“They really like me a lot,” said Sneed of the Gophers. “I have seen them play a couple of times. They like my toughness, and they say that is something I need, so I would fit in well.”

There is no decision expected to come quickly from Sneed who plans to play out July, but when the time does come, Sneed knows what he will be looking for in a school.

“Academics are going to be huge for me, and the ability to develop players,” said Sneed. “Also I want to go somewhere that the coaches have a close relationship with the players.”
