Goodwin has a pair of offers

Jordan Goodwin is one of the toughest players on the wing in the class of 2017, and a pair of rivals have already offered him.

It is tough to really pin down a position that Jordan Goodwin traditionally fits into, but the 6-foot-2 and 210 pounder with a 6-foot-10 wing span just gets stuff done. The class of 2017 prospect was excellent at the Nike Elite 100, and he already holds two big offers.

“I think I have played pretty well,” said Goodwin of the spring. “I try to be unselfish and just play my game.”

He continued, “I have been working on my outside shot. I attack the basket pretty well and play hard, so now I am working more on my outside game to be a more complete player.”

At this point Goodwin is still working on his game, but college coaches have already taken a liking to him. Hailing from the St. Louis area, it is no surprise that Illinois and Missouri have already extended offers.

When it comes to the Illini, Goodwin said, “Illinois means a lot. That is my state, and it would be great to represent my state.”

About Missouri, Goodwin said, “I like Missouri a lot. I watched them play a lot growing up, and their coaches seem like good guys.”

At this point Goodwin is still working to get all of the information he can about the schools on his list, but he does know what will be important to him when he starts thinking about making a college decision.

“I am just looking for a place where I fit,” said Goodwin. “I want to be somewhere where my playing style fits with the coaches.”

Look for Goodwin to get a bump in the next rankings when things are expanded in the class of 2017.
