Nike Elite 100: Ethan Chargois

The recruiting interest is really picking up for power forward Ethan Chargois.

Playing up a level in the Nike EYBL hasn’t bothered Ethan Chargois at all. The talented power forward has put up very solid numbers, and continued that strong play at the Nike Elite 100.

“This year joining the EYBL has been a great experience,” said Chargois of his spring. “I am holding my own and my team made the Peach Jam, so it has been good.”

At 6-foot-7 and 240 pounds, Chargois is tough to handle on the interior, but he is also working to be a more complete player.

“I’ve really tried to move my game out to the wing,” said Chargois. “I know I have to keep my post game nice, but I am trying to improve my guard skills so I can be a more complete player.”

Recruiting wise Chargois already has significant in-state attention.

“Mostly I have been talking to Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Tulsa, and Texas has also come on a little bit recently,” noted Chargois.

About the Sooners, Chargois said, “They are saying they can be really good. They made the Elite Eight this year, and they tell me that they really want me. I like the campus there a lot as well.”

When it comes to the Cowboys, Chargois added, “Oklahoma State, they are saying they want me a lot. They are saying that I would fit in well there and that they will be watching me in July.”

At this point Chargois is just beginning the recruiting process, but he does know what factors he will be looking for when it becomes time to select a school.

“I am looking mostly at academics, but also play style is important,” said Chargois. “I want to go to a school that gets up and down.”
