Barber has early offers

Michael Barber is a known name to schools in the south. Here's an intro to the 2018 prospect's game and recruitment.

One of the south's top 2018 forwards at this stage is 6-foot-7, 200-pound Jackson (Miss.) The Veritas School's Michael Barber.

The rising sophomore's versatility has made him intriguing to colleges early.

"I like to be versatile, run the court and play hard," Barber said. "I need to work on my dribbling, my defense and rebounding."

Barber holds early offers from Mississippi State, Baylor, UNLV, Ohio State and Tennessee-Martin and has an SEC school he liked as a kid

"I grew up a fan of Florida," Barber said. "I just liked the way they play, how they get up and down the court and how they're a fast paced team."

When Barber looks closely into making a decision, he knows what will be important to him.

"I'll probably decide my junior year," he said. "I'm looking for a team that gets up and down the court and runs but still runs plays for their players."
