NBPA Top 100: Sedee Keita

Post player Sedee Keita showed off his significant ability at NBPA Top 100 Camp and he continues to add to his offer list.

Center Sedee Keita has had a solid spring on the Under Armour circuit. He parlayed that into a host of offers and also an invitation to the NBPA Top 100 Camp where he had a strong performance.

“The camp went well,” said Keita. “This is a great opportunity to come here and just is a blessing. The spring has been going good and now I am looking forward to July.”

In terms of his game, Keita says he is working hard to improve and become an even more complete player.

“I am working on my explosiveness and my jump shot,” noted Keita. “Also I am just trying to have a good feel for the game.”

Recruiting wise Keita has an extensive list of schools showing him significant interest.

“I am hearing from Florida, LSU, Kansas, Syracuse, Xavier, Clemson, and South Carolina,” said Keita. “I have offers from Clemson, Xavier, South Carolina, and a few others.”

Going to school in Greenville, SC, Keita has been able to visit the two local in-state schools, and he came away impressed.

“South Carolina was a good experience,” said Keita. “I spent some time with Frank Martin and he seemed like a good guy.”

About Clemson, he said, “I went for a game and that was a really good experience. Clemson seems like a great program.”

Another school that has turned up the heat this spring is Xavier, and Keita says he remains in constant contact with the coaches at the school.

“They say that they really like me and that they want me to come visit,” said Keita. “I have had some long conversations with Coach (Travis) Steele, and it is a school I would definitely want to visit in the future.”

Keita says he plans to narrow his list down at the end of July before making some official visits in the fall. When that does take place, Keita knows what he will be looking for in a school.

“I am just looking for a school that is a great fit and that feels like a family,” said Keita. “Also I want to go somewhere that I can play early on.”
