Dillard flips commitment to Oklahoma State

Davon Dillard made news Wednesday by flipping his commitment from California to a Big 12 school.

Centereach (N.Y.) Our Savior forward Davon Dillard flipped his pledge from California to Oklahoma State, his coach told Scout on Wednesday.

"He had a change of heart," Eric Jaklitsch said. "He's going to be a real nice player for them. He wanted to go to a school that he would fit in well and he is."

Dillard, a 6-foot-5 guard native of Indiana, committed to California on March 1st. At that time he picked the Bears over Indiana, Purdue, Pittsburgh, Providence and St. John's. Although he committed, he never signed.

A source told Scout that Dillard, a 2015 recruit that will be available this season, visited Oklahoma State on Monday and Tuesday with his mother.

Dillard is regarded as a three-star prospect on Scout.

"His strengths are that he's a freak athlete," Jaklitsch said. "He has a will to win and never backs down from anybody."
