Harrison knows of one visit

Rising senior forward Tim Harrison is a prospect with a pretty high upside and he knows at least one school he wants to take a visit to.

One of the better available forwards on the West Coast in 2016 comes from San Diego Parker in 6-foot-7, 170-pound Tim Harrison.

A face-up four, Harrison is best from midrange but also has the athleticism and shooting ability to score inside and from the perimeter. He has a lot of upside physically and has a high basketball IQ.

"I think I'm diversifying the way I score," Harrison said. "I'm not just settling for shots. I'm scoring in the low post, hitting threes and being more of an offensive threat. I need to continue to get stronger and work on my ball handling skills and defense."

Harrison says the main schools he's hearing from are California, Oregon State, Rice, USC, Lehigh and San Diego.

He knows of one school that he'll definitely take an official visit to.

"I'll definitely visit Cal," Harrison said. "I really like coach (Cuonzo) Martin. I've heard good things about him and I like what they're doing with the program.

"[Cal sophomore center] Kameron Rooks played for Gamepoint and I've talked to him about the program and he speaks highly of it."

For at least another month, Harrison's focus is more on his game than recruiting.

"I'm hoping to finish the summer off strong," he said. "I'll get a lot more serious after the summer; I'll start scheduling my official visits then. Hopefully I'll make a decision before my senior season."
