Five recruiting Brown the hardest
A productive spring on the AAU circuit helped Bruce Brown's recruitment intensify. The 6-foot-3, 185-pound guard from Saxton Rivers (Vt.) Vermont Academy, ranked 43rd in 2016 by Scout, is happy with his game. "I'm playing point guard and learning more about the things point guards do and I like it a lot. I like to get others involved," Brown said. "I play defense and I can score whenever I want but mainly I get my teammates involved and make them look good. I need to work on my ball handling, my shot and reading defenses." Brown listed Indiana, Texas, SMU, Miami and Michigan as the schools recruiting him the hardest, and he knows of one visit he hopes to take. "I'm supposed to visit Arizona in the fall," Brown said. "They came into play after the second (EYBL) session." The four-star prospect doesn't have a timetable on a decision but the school that lands him will have someone besides Brown to impress. "I have no idea," he said. "I need to talk to my mom about it. I want the school I go to have a good relationship with her; I want to make sure she's comfortable."
