Pangos: Elijah Thomas

CERRITOS, Calif. - Elijah Thomas has an offer list of two schools. If Friday night's performance with the Arizona Magic Elite was any indication, those two colleges will have company shortly.

Several West Coast players used the first couple days of the July Evaluation Period to help their stocks as prospects and up their recruitments at the same time.

On Friday night at the Pangos Summer Sweet 16, Elijah Thomas did the same.

The 2016 small forward from Peoria (Ariz.) Sunrise Mountain proved himself as a prospect that deserves to be recruited at the high major level.

Thomas is 6-foot-5 and 210 pounds with a terrific frame. He's got wide shoulders, long arms and is a good athlete.

The rising senior played hard the entire game and showed high level anticipation as a rebounder. He played unselfish basketball due to his high basketball IQ and made some very impressive passes to teammates.

Thomas used his ball skills to create his own shot; he hit multiple three-pointers and displayed his pull-up jumper. On defense he showed the ability to guard multiple positions due to his lateral quickness, feel and length.

So far, Grand Canyon and Cal State Fullerton have offered Thomas, while he listed interest from Hawaii, Portland, Weber State, Colorado and Saint Mary's.

It's a safe bet that Thomas' offer list is going to quickly grow over the next few weeks as most college coaches see him for the first time.
