Five-star Jayson Tatum selects Duke

NORTH AUGUSTA, S.C. -- One of nation's premier prospects -- Jayson Tatum -- ended his recruitment at the Nike Peach Jam.

Five-star wing prospect Jayson Tatum will play college basketball at Duke, he announced Sunday morning at the Nike Peach Jam.

Tatum, a standout at St. Louis (Mo.) Chaminade, picked Mike Krzyzewski and the Blue Devils over Kentucky, North Carolina and St. Louis.

Tatum, who ranks No. 3 overall in the 2016 top 100, led the Peach Jam in scoring with 24.8 points and 8.6 rebounds a game.

A decorated recruit, Tatum has won multiple gold medals, including one with the USA Basketball U19 team last week in the FIBA World Championships.

Duke finished No. 1 in Scout’s 2014 and 2015 class rankings and with the Tatum pledge is off to a great start in 2016, as he’s their first pledge of the 2016 recruiting class.

Duke assistant Jon Scheyer was the point man for the Tatum recruitment.
