Feliz gives verbal pledge to USF

South Florida picked up an early pledge from Andres Feliz.

Andres Feliz verbally committed to Orlando Antigua and South Florida on Monday, Team Breakdown coach Jordan Fair told Scout.

"He picked USF because of the relationship he has with the Antigua coaching staff and felt like the program was headed in the right direction and he wanted to be a part of he growth," Fair said.

Feliz picked the Bulls over strong interest from Louisville, Missouri and Miami.

"He felt like he could come in and be the point guard of the future," Feliz said.

Feliz is coming off a terrific performance in the U19 World Championships for the Dominican Republic. He led the event in scoring with 18.9 points a game.

Feliz is planning to reclassify from the 2017 class to 2016. USF now has a pair of pledges, as Feliz joins gifted athlete Troy Baxter to make up their current class.
