Double Pump: Jordan Guest
One of the West Coast's top post prospects in 2018 is 6-foot-8, 225-pound Santa Margarita (Calif.)'s Jordan Guest, who had a strong week at the Double Pump Summer Tip Off. The rising sophomore, who plays AAU for Pump N'Run Elite 16u, has wide shoulders and a strong frame. He plays hard, rebounds, competes inside and finishes with contact but can also step out and hit jumpers. "I post up, I bang for offensive rebounds, I'll shoot threes if I need to, I'll shoot from midrange and make hustle plays," Guest said. "I need to work on my ball handling and on-ball guarding." Guest, who has received interest from Stanford and Arizona, has a school which he grew up a fan of. "I was a fan of Arizona because my uncle went there," Guest said. "I like their program. They play at a fast pace and I like their offense. The kind of players they recruit are similar to me I think." Location will likely play a role in Guest's recruitment. "I'm looking to stay on the West Coast," he said. "I don't want to go too far east because I don't like cold weather."
