Elite 100: Bryan Johnson-Penn
Considering the fact that members of the 2018 class haven't even started their sophomore seasons, it's way too early to have a pecking order that's anything more than extremely fluid. That said, it's currently very easy to place Bryan Johnson-Penn right there towards the top centers on the west in the class. The 6-foot-9, 200-pound post from Las Vegas Desert Pines has a good size and frame yet keeps growing. He has long arms, soft hands and developing footwork. He's still more prospect than player but his ceiling is very high. "I'm still working on my outside shot," Johnson-Penn said. "My post moves and strength are getting better but I'm still working on my shot." So far, Johnson-Penn has picked up offers from Utah and UNLV. "I like the atmosphere at Utah," he said. "I like the players and coaches. It's a beautiful campus to be at. "UNLV is local and has been to my school a lot to watch me." Academics are going to play a big role in Johnson-Penn's recruitment. "I'm looking for somewhere I can get a good education," he said.
