Double Pump: Sayeed Pridgett

ANAHEIM, Calif. - Sayeed Pridgett's versatility and ability to play either guard spot at the next level will likely help his recruitment out of the Bay Area in 2016.

One of the top 2016 prospects in Northern California is 6-foot-5, 190-pound El Cerrito (Calif.) combo guard Sayeed Pridgett.

At the Double Pump Summer Tip Off, the rising senior showed very good size for a combo guard, while he also specializes in transition with his handle, athleticism and vision, along with his ability to get to the basket.

"I like to get my teammates open first and get them the ball, which makes it easier for me to score," Pridgett said.

"When my whole team is a threat, it's easier for me to get to the rack or hit a three. I'm working on my strength and jumper."

Pridgett listed Montana, San Francisco, Weber, Saint Mary's Oregon State and Creighton as his offers, with two of those standing out.

"Mainly Montana and Saint Mary's," he said.

There will be two areas especially important to Pridgett in a school.

"I'm looking for somewhere I can get a lot of playing time as a freshman and a good education," Pridgett said.
