Interest picking up for Quinton Rose
One of the more intriguing 2016 prospects is 6-foot-5, 180-pound guard Quinton Rose. Playing for the Albany City Rocks on the Nike EYBL circuit, Rose has shown an ability to facilitate and score. “I’m getting recruited at both, to play both on and off the ball,” Rose explained to Scout. “I think I’m more comfortable playing on the ball.” What does Rose consider to be his strengths? “Definitely attacking the basket, finding open teammates, getting out in transition and running,” he said. Rose currently has scholarship offers from George Washington, Seton Hall, Temple, Wake Forest, Miami, Rutgers, Minnesota and SMU. Vanderbilt, Notre Dame and Stanford have also shown interest. “I’m still open right now,” he said. Rose has already taken an official and unofficial visit to George Washington. “It was pretty nice,” he said about his official trip. “I liked it a lot.” “Their coaches are really good,” Rose added. “You can tell they actually care and really want me to go there.” Rose, who plans to make his college decision in September, will take his next official visit to Temple in late August.
