UA Finals: Tyree Crump

SUWANEE, Ga. -- Playing the Under Armour Finals in his home state, Tyree Crump had a strong opening outing against Earl Watson Elite.

One of the top performers of the opening day of the Under Armour Finals at the Suwanee Sports Academy complex was 2016 guard Tyree Crump.

An early pledge to Mark Fox and Georgia, Crump put together a terrific effort in a match up with Earl Watson Elite. Although Crump’s team took a loss, the 6-foot-2 guard made play after play for Showtime Hoops and went for 33 points.

Crump is quick and athletic. He was aggressive off the dribble and found ways to get by the first line of defense and get paint touches. Once there, Crump showed off a go-to floater, consistently drew contact for fouls and also dished out the ball for assists.

Crump, who also had a strong showing at NBPA Top 100 Camp in June, also proved to be a pretty good long-range threat. Crump shot the ball with confidence and range, and hit all five of his three-point attempts.

If Monday was any indication, Crump, a combo guard out of Bainbridge (Ga.) High, should be an impact performer as a freshman for the Bulldogs.
