UA Finals: M.J. Walker

SUWANEE, Ga. -- Highly touted 2017 wing M.J. Walker went for 37 points during a match up at the UA Finals on Friday.

M.J. Walker, a 2017 wing out of Jonesboro (Ga.) High, had one of the best single game efforts of the Under Armour Association Finals on Friday afternoon.

Playing for Winfred Jordan’s Atlanta Xpress 16’s group, the 6-foot-4 strongly built guard went for 37 points in a win of the Young Legends.

Walker, who won the three-point contest at the Stephen Curry Select Camp, is a scoring wing prospect with a weapon for a jump shot. He buried a handful of threes in the game and showed good shot mechanics and deep range on his shot.

To go with his ability to shoot, Walker is an aggressive driver and because of his strength he’s able to play through and finish through contact at the rim. A good athlete, Walker also thrives in the open court and competes on the defensive end.

At this point, Walker has scholarship offers from LaSalle, Florida, Maryland, Florida State, Auburn and Memphis. He also cited interest from Georgia, Virginia Tech and Ohio State.
