NY2LA: Te'Jon Lucas

MEQUON, WI - It was a big day for Te'Jon Lucas who put on a show with his passing and shot making.

The breakout for Te'Jon Lucas took place at the NBPA Top 100 Camp, and after a slow start due to injury at the NY2LA Swish N Dish, Lucas took his game to a whole new level on Saturday. Running with the Milwaukee Spartans, Lucas had as good a game as a point guard can have in a winning effort.

Going against the very impressive MBA Hoops backcourt of Tyson Carter and Nick Weatherspoon, Lucas was in for a big test, and he more than passed. In fact Lucas did absolutely everything you could ever want out of a point guard with 25 points and 12 assists.

Always known as a good passer with excellent feel, Lucas brought it up even another level. He shot the heck out of the ball from deep, and then also made some floaters and got out in transition. While that was impressive, his ability to create off of ball screens and to always make the right decision is impressive. He simply did everything possible to put his team in a position to win.

Recently a lot of schools have begun to really take a long look at Lucas. On Saturday Ole Miss, Minnesota, and Butler had assistants watching while Michigan’s Jon Beilein was the lone head coach in attendance.
