AAU Super Showcase: Sam Hauser

LOUISVILLE - Sam Hauser proved to be one of the better players at the event with his play on Saturday.

Throughout the year one player who have been hoping to get a look at, but never was able to see was Sam Hauser. The Marquette pledge managed to miss our sight until Saturday, but the wait proved to be worth it.

The future Golden Eagle was absolutely tremendous in a pair of games, including leading his team to a big win over Boo Williams before falling to King James. Clearly what Hauser does best is shooting the basketball.

At around 6-foot-5, Hauser has long arms and the ability to get shots off against even good defense. Add in that he is a very solid ball handler, and Hauser can create space for himself. Also Hauser showed himself to be a good shooter.

A commitment to Marquette, Hauser was watched by an assistant from the school. The question now becomes where does Hauser end up in the rankings? It is too early to know for sure, but Hauser is someone who will get significant consideration for a spot in the top 100 even in the absolutely loaded 2016 class.
