Recruitment picks up for Robinson

Recruiting continues to pick up for Mitchell Robinson. Robinson has big time upside at the center position.

One player that will certainly make a big move in the 2017 rankings when they are next updated is Mitchell Robinson. The long and athletic center prospect really opened eyes this July, and he continues to add more attention on the recruiting trail.

“I have just been working hard,” said Robinson. “I want to expand my game so I can play on the perimeter more and not just be inside.”

Recruiting wise schools are just beginning to really get into the mix for Robinson. At the Peach Jam he noted interest from LSU, UAB, and Wichita State.

When it comes to new interest, Robinson said, “I know Georgia for sure. Also my coach is telling me Kentucky is very interested.”

At the moment Robinson is just at the beginning stages of his recruitment, but he does know one school that he wants to be able to visit.

“I want to see Kentucky,” noted Robinson. “I like how they let their big man come out and play and show their skill.”

With Robinson just starting to take a look at his options, he doesn’t have any favorites, but he does know what things he will be looking for in his future school.

“I am looking for academics,” said Robinson. “I want to have everything in order academic wise. Also I want to go to a place that is like a family.”
