adidas Nations: Gorjok Gak

GARDEN GROVE, Calif. - There's a long list of talented prospects getting recruited by high majors at adidas Nations and one of them is competing for Team Asia Pacific in Gorjok Gak.

Florida is filled with players getting recruited at the high major level and one that Scout is still getting a good feel for is Gorjok Gak.

The 6-foot-10, 200-pound 2016 post from Bradenton Victory Rock Prep says his best value is his versatility.

“I’m a stretch four,” Gak said. “I can create mismatches; if I have someone bigger than me I can take them off the dribble and if I have someone smaller than me I can post them up.

“I’m working on getting stronger and I’m working on my shot.”

Gak listed UConn, Maryland, Florida and SMU as the schools showing him the most attention and briefly broke down what he likes about each of them.

UConn: “They have a lot of players like me there. They have long, athletic players that can stretch the floor.”

Maryland: “I don’t know much about them but they’ve been showing some love.”

Florida: “That’s closest to home since I live in Florida.”

SMU: “They have a lot of Australians at that school and I’m from Australia.”

The rising senior has a couple aspects of a program that he’ll be looking for.

“I’d like a place I can play right away and develop as a player,” Gak said.
