Four-star wing De'Riante Jenkins cuts list

De'Riante Jenkins, Scout's No. No. 62 overall player and No. 14 small forward in the 2016 class, is down to 10 schools.

De'Riante Jenkins is looking at 10 schools, he told Scout late Sunday evening.

Jenkins is now only considering scholarship offers from Tennessee, Clemson, Rutgers, Indiana, LSU, South Carolina, VCU, Georgia, Missouri and Georgia Tech.

“I feel with those 10 schools I’ve developed good relationships,” Jenkins told Scout. “UGA just came in the picture. They’ve contacted Curtis [Wheeler] a lot about me. We just added them.”

The next step for Jenkins will be picking which schools he wants to visit, but at this stage he hasn’t set any dates.

“I’m in discussions with VCU,” he said about possible visits. “They want me to come visit. All of them want me to come visit.”

Jenkins, a native of South Carolina, said the Gamecock staff is trying to get him to campus this week.

“I may go on an unofficial there either Monday or Tuesday,” he said.

As a junior, Jenkins played at West Oaks Academy in Orlando, Fla. Jenkins will transfer to Chatham (Va.) Hargrave Military Academy for his final season.
