New York guard Quinton Rose commits to Temple

Rochester (N.Y.) Bishop Kearney guard Quinton Rose made a verbal commitment to Temple.

Three-star combination guard Quinton Rose verbally committed to Temple on Thursday, he told Scout.

"It's everything I was looking for in a school," Rose said. "It's a great school. They have great coaches and I love their campus. I will be able to grow as a player there. It's a perfect on the court situation and my parents love it.

Rose picked Temple over significant interest from Wake Forest, Miami, SMU, Rutgers, Seton Hall, Minnesota and George Washington. Rose took visits to Temple and George Washington.

"I was sitting down with my dad when we were trying to narrow it down and we both stopped," Rose said. "We both came to the concsluon that this is the perfect situation for me. I've been there twice and I loved it both times. It was the perfect move for me."

Rose is Temple's first verbal commitment of the 2016 class.
