How did you come to select SMU? "I just looked at everything and narrowed it all down and thought that would be the best place for me."

How is SMU different from the other schools? "When I took my visit, I was really cool with the guys and the coaches were really cool. I want to go to a program that I can help get to another level. I want to be remember as one of the players that helped get the program where it was at."

Was distance a factor? "It was a big factor. My mom wanted me to stay close."

What did you learn from the summer run? "I always knew I could play with some of the top guys and now everyone else knows now."

Was there a member of the SMU staff you connected with? "I say coach Jimmy Tubbs. He was cool and down to earth and I felt like I could really talk to him and communicate with him."

What's the day been like? "I committed around twelve and had an interview at three."

Plans for your senior year? "Senior year, have to go out with a bang. We got too close [to a state title] last year and we have to pull it out."

Have you spoken to the other schools you considered? "My mom said that they have been calling but I have to get prepared to talk to them. I'll just tell them it was my decision."
