Lamptey Commits To Three Officials

Easily one of the most improved players in the country is center Julius Lamptey. The big fella is receiving plenty of high-major attention and he's about to start setting up his fall slate of official visits. Find out which three schools are guaranteed to receive appearances from him.

Lamptey Says Three Will Definitely Receive Visits

Oklahoma City (OK) Northeast center Julius Lamptey is going to sign in the fall. However, he's yet to make any firm arrangements as far as visit dates go. With that said, Lamptey has committed to visiting at least three schools.

He'll make official trips to Michigan, Illinois and Georgia for sure. Lamptey said he's also interested in Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and maybe UCLA and Florida. He'll take unofficials to Oklahoma and Oklahoma State if need be. "I'm going to get some pretty good football games," Lamptey quipped.

Last year, Lamptey led the state in rebounding with 15.6 a game. He averaged 17 points a night. Leading the state in rebounding was a fact that he's quite proud of, especially since he edged out AAU teammate Kevin Bookout. "He was like third. But, Bookout's going to the Olympics so he really doesn't care," Lamptey said.

At this juncture, there really isn't a leader. "I'm going to be looking at how many guys went to the pros out of college and how long it takes because that's what I'm trying to."
