Elite 24: Josh Jackson

NEW YORK CITY - With a ton of NBA scouts looking on, five-star wing Josh Jackson showed off his big time potential at the Elite 24 practice on Thursday evening.

Five-star wing Josh Jackson has clearly asserted himself as one of the truly elite prospects in the country, so it was no surprise on Thursday when he showed himself to be arguably the best player on the floor at the Elite 24 practice.

Jackson, who is still trying to gain consistency with his jumper, did hit a couple from deep, while missing badly on a few others. While some of those misses didn’t look good, the rest of Jackson’s night was extremely impressive.

Where Jackson was especially impressive was on the defensive end. Even though it was an all-star setting and simply a practice, Jackson was locked in on the defensive end and made life extremely difficult for whoever was going against him on offense. No more than once or twice did Jackson’s man get a clean look, let alone get a bucket.

An elite athlete, Jackson was getting to the rim virtually at will, and also as usual was showing off his tremendous ability to pass the basketball.

Recently Jackson made a visit to Maryland, and also he is strongly considering schools such as Arizona, Kansas, and Michigan State. Other schools remain in the mix for Jackson, such as Kentucky and Duke, but to this point Jackson hasn’t seemed to move forward too quickly in his recruiting process.
