It looks as though the recruitment of Xavier Simpson is set to come an end shortly. The four-star point guard has decided that he will announce his college decision on Wednesday he informed Scout.com. Simpson, who is coming off of a visit to Wisconsin, likely will have a press conference at his school to announce his choice.
Simpson was close to announcing his college decision during May, but decided he wanted to take his official visits. After visiting Iowa State, Illinois, and Wisconsin now Simpson has his decision made. Also a visit was set to Miami for this upcming weekend, but that trip now is not going to happen.
A 5-foot-11 point guard, Simpson is the No. 55 ranked player in the country, and was one of the best point guards all July long. Simpson was named one of the top players at the Peach Jam where he was one of the leaders in points and assists during the event. His play during the event helped King James reach bracket play at Peach Jam, and then he was instrumental in King James coming home with the AAU Super Showcase title.
Overall Simpson picked up offers throughout the process from Illinois, Indiana, Iowa State, Wisconsin, Xavier, Miami, Iowa, Pittsburgh, and others. The school that gets his commitment will land a proven winner and someone who has really improved over the last 12 months.
